Merry Christmas!

Christmas this year was amazing!! I knew Logan wouldn't really get it, but Trent and I were so excited for his first Christmas anyway! To get us in the spirit, we went with our friends, the Dean's, to see the lights at Temple Square. It was absolutely freezing, but fun anyway! The lights are always beautiful! After the lights, we had a yummy dinner at the Garden - complete with deep fried pickles! Don't judge until you try - they are delicious!

Every year, the Davis Conference Center (I used to work full-time there, but since I've had Logan, I just work occasionally) has Breakfast with Santa. We took Logan to see Santa for the first time, and his expression never changed.

We spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with the Brough's in Trenton, then head back to Centerville to spend time the rest of Christmas with the Wood's.

Packed and ready to go!
At the Brough Family party on Christmas Eve.

Me and my mom.Our little fam, first thing on Christmas morning. Not too pretty!
Our adorable little Santa!
He has no clue what a present is!
Logan loves his new toy - it's also a walker.

The super cute sled Nana and Papa Wood gave Logan.
It was a lot of fun - great food, games, and wonderful family!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and we're looking forward to 2010 and more adventures!!

Catch Up...

I know, I've been really bad at this lately. I have been chastised by a few of my faithful blog stalkers. I hope you have some time, because this is a long one!

Halloween 2009 was a big success! Logan was the most adorable little pumpkin, and as you can see from the pictures, Trent had to match him.

Trent has a Halloween tradition of going to Shopko in the morning and buying a costume off of their 75% off rack. It worked out that he found a pumpkin costume too - it's actually a kid's costume, but it fit him anyway!! We went to my sister-in-law's house (Michelle), who made amazing homemade soup and doughnuts. It was delicious and the cousins had a great time in their costumes. We had pumpkin, a geisha, a pirate, a Jedi knight, and a pioneer girl. It was a lot of fun, and I ended up buying Logan's costume for next year for a great deal at Old Navy! You'll have to tune in next year to see what he'll be!

Thanksgiving was wonderful! I regret to say that I didn't take a single picture of Logan on Thanksgiving - I don't know what I was thinking. We were with the Brough family in Smithfield this year and I made my first pies - crust and all! I made a pumpkin pie and a pecan pie - and they both turned out great! I'll admit, I had help from my sister-in-law (Michelle again) who is a fantastic cook!

We also took some great family pictures at various times. Here are a few of my faves.

Logan is 9 months now and all over the place. He can crawl, pull himself up, and walk along things like the couch or a coffee table. He just had his 9 month checkup and dropped to the 25 percentile for weight. My pediatrician said that is normal - it happens a lot to babies around 9-12 months. I'm sure it's because since Logan figured out he can move, he hasn't stopped! This is exhausting for me - I have to keep an eye on him constantly! It's super fun at the same time because he is so curious and has gotten much more interactive. He loves to eat - I just gave him some yogurt with fruit in it for the first time today and he thoroughly enjoyed it! Here are some of my favorite Logan pictures of late.

He is totally zonked out in this one and has his teddy/blanket over his head.

Please ignore the dust on my mirror!

Trent won't be happy that I'm posting this one, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him! Trent was holding Logan and the corner of the car door swung and hit Logan in the forehead. Logan's poor little forehead bled and it was very sad. :( It is now healing nicely, and hopefully it won't scar. If it does, I can always hold it over Trent's head! :)My in-laws are building a new cabin in Eden. We went up to see the progress and it was freezing! Luckily, Uncle Sakae was there and willing to share his coat!

Whew! I hope you got through this and enjoyed it! I have some great holiday pics that I will post shortly. I don't want to overload you all too much. Also, notice the very cute new font? Thanks to Kaitlyn for referring me to www.thecutestblogontheblock.com to figure out how to do it (click on Free Blogging Secrets). Warning for anyone who is going to try - make sure you have some time! It takes a bit to do it, but so worth it!
