Logan's 1st Birthday!

Today Logan turned 1! I can't believe it's already been a year. He is so much fun and brings such joy to our lives!! I can't imagine life without him!

My mom and I took him to the zoo. He was somewhat interested. He liked the carousel and the train, and he liked the bigger animals like the elephants and rhinoceros. Here is my first attempt at a collage. I think it turned out pretty cute!! I did this so you don't have to scroll for forever because I have a lot of pictures to post! I kind of went collage crazy!

We had Trent's family over for cake and ice cream. Here are some shots of the decorations and Logan before the cake.

Logan was not a big fan of having frosting on his hands. He tentatively touched it with a finger, then Trent shoved his hand in it. He just held up his hand like, "What am I supposed to do with this?" After we wiped off his hands and fed the cake to him with a spoon, he was totally content!

Logan got a wagon from the Wood family and he loves it!! I am pretty excited about it too! He also got some small trucks, a cute pirate book, and some new bath toys, but we didn't get pictures of all of that. Here he is enjoying the wagon with his cousins. The cousins all love Logan so much and I am grateful that they are such great kids! When Logan is having fun, he laughs with his mouth wide open - that is his look of pure joy!

It was a great day!! We are celebrating with the Brough family this weekend, so more pictures to come!!

So You Think You Can Dance

I love watching SYTYCD! It makes me wish, wish, wish I could dance! I was at work this past weekend, and there was a dance workshop and Nathan was there teaching it! I couldn't resist getting a picture with him. He was super nice and it was fun to see him in action!

Logan's First Haircut!

Logan's hair has been getting longer and has been going over his ears. It's not really getting thicker, unfortunately, so I decided he needed a haircut. When I was a young girl, my mom would cut my hair. One traumatic day, she snipped too close and got my ear. She did not believe me until the blood appeared! Because of this experience, I didn't dare try to cut Logan's. Luckily, Cookie Cutters is all of 5 minutes away from my house. Logan did so good! He looks so old and big now, but handsome as ever!!

Being so good!

Hey, I'm trying to watch Baby Einstein here!

Look at me, Mom!

The finished product.

On a side note, I went to the Layers sale today and it was crazy! I was in line for almost an hour, but it was so worth it! For $100 I got a dress, 3 tank tops, 1 layering tee, 4 tops, 2 cardigans, and a scarf! SCORE!!

11 months

Our little Logan is 11 months old today! I can't believe it - it just seems like yesterday we brought him home! He's so much fun and is changing every day. He's cruising like crazy and can stand by himself for quite a while. He's eating more and more table foods - his favorite is cheese quesadillas. He absolutely loves them! He has the most adorable laugh and loves playing rough with Daddy. We love our Logan!

Bear Lake

Our friends invited us up to their cabin in Bear Lake last weekend and it was way fun! There was a lot of snow and we went sledding, snowmobiling, played the Wii, and just hung out and had a relaxing weekend. Well, as relaxing as you can have with 6 kids running around!

Kate, Logan, and Ryker getting clean. I joked with Melissa and Ashley that their kids need tanning beds! :)

Kolman and Tom, Logan and Trent, Ryker and Brad...oh yeah, and the snowman!

Logan's first time sledding!

Trent got Logan a collapsible tunnel from IKEA and he loves it!!

This is a great shot of Logan's teeth! He also has the top 2 that have broken through, but he HATES when you try to look in his mouth.

Thanks again to Ashley and Brad for inviting us!!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas this year was amazing!! I knew Logan wouldn't really get it, but Trent and I were so excited for his first Christmas anyway! To get us in the spirit, we went with our friends, the Dean's, to see the lights at Temple Square. It was absolutely freezing, but fun anyway! The lights are always beautiful! After the lights, we had a yummy dinner at the Garden - complete with deep fried pickles! Don't judge until you try - they are delicious!

Every year, the Davis Conference Center (I used to work full-time there, but since I've had Logan, I just work occasionally) has Breakfast with Santa. We took Logan to see Santa for the first time, and his expression never changed.

We spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with the Brough's in Trenton, then head back to Centerville to spend time the rest of Christmas with the Wood's.

Packed and ready to go!
At the Brough Family party on Christmas Eve.

Me and my mom.Our little fam, first thing on Christmas morning. Not too pretty!
Our adorable little Santa!
He has no clue what a present is!
Logan loves his new toy - it's also a walker.

The super cute sled Nana and Papa Wood gave Logan.
It was a lot of fun - great food, games, and wonderful family!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and we're looking forward to 2010 and more adventures!!
