Big Brother!

Logan is going to be a big brother! We are having another baby and I'm due May 1, 2011. It will be interesting to see what happens with this one - Logan came 3 weeks early, so maybe this one will be early too. I am just over 14 weeks along, and am starting to feel better. I've been pretty nauseous and really tired. I forgot how tired you are during the first trimester! Everything seems different this time around. I feel more tired, but maybe that's because I'm chasing around a 19 month old! I was hardly sick at all with Logan, and ginger ale always helped. I've felt sicker and not much seems to help - ginger ale, peppermint, etc. I'm starting to feel better though, and hoping that is just continues. I started showing much sooner too! I've been in maternity clothes for a few weeks now, but have actually lost 2 pounds this trimester! We are excited and can't wait to find out if we're having a boy or girl. We're a little scared - 2 kids will definitely be an adjustment - but can't wait for Logan to have a sibling!!

Aquarium

Logan loves the aquarium! I think it's all of the bright colors and the fish are constantly moving. We have an annual pass, and my mom, my sister, and her kids came for the day. It's not a very big aquarium, but they have some cool things! You can touch sting rays, they have penguins, and I love the jellyfish!

I love my mom, but she's a terrible photographer! There's a frog statue that Logan is sitting on that you obviously can't see!!

There's the frog! Kenzie, Hunter, and Logan

Random

IT'S ALIVE!! We got our Mac back with a new hard drive and I LOVE Time Machine! It backed up everything - we didn't lose a thing! So, here are some random pictures in an attempt to get caught up...I'm not sure what's with the funky photo positioning, but I'm too lazy to try to figure it out!

Logan and Trent in the pool at my in-laws. Logan loves the water, but thinks it's pretty cool when Dad puts his raft in!

The zoo with Jacob!

A very nice man in front of us took a group shot on the train. This is me, Logan, Erin, and Jacob. Jacob is about 6 months younger than Logan. I know the boys have zero expression on their faces in every picture, but we really did have a good time!!

Logan hard at work at my in-laws new cabin! He put rocks in the wheel barrel for about 30 minutes straight! He was so serious about it! Trent and I were shoveling gravel to even out the driveway, and he was helping! Then he needed to relax after all his hard work!! LOVE this boy!!

I have a lot more pictures from the summer, but I hate to overload. More to come in the next few days...keeping coming back!

Lagoon!

I know it has been a while since my last post, and I had a folder of pictures all ready to go and posts to write, but then our desktop crashed! Our hard drive is fried and we had to get it replaced. We have things backed up, but I am hoping that it backed up my recent stuff before our hard drive went kaputz! I had these pictures on my camera still, so I am blogging from my laptop. When we get our desktop Mac back, more posts to come - I hope!!

Every year my work (Western States Lodging) sponsors a Lagoon Day where we get super cheap tickets. Most of Trent's family came and it was a blast!! My wonderful friend Mandy watched Logan in the morning for his nap, so Trent and I got to go on the big, fun rides in the morning! I think the Spider is my favorite, but Wicked is pretty great too! Logan came in the afternoon and had a such a good time!! I haven't really paid attention to the kiddie rides lately, but there were several that he was able to go on. Pretty much every niece and nephew cried because we tried (maybe forced a few times) to get them to go on some of the roller coasters. What's a day at Lagoon with no tears? Not a successful one!! We even won a camera at the employee drawing. Overall, it was an awesome day!!Us at the Spider. This one caused a few tears from a some of the kids - a few scars may have been formed!!Mia, Izzy, and Trent on the musical one that squishes the outside person

Our little fam on the carousel!

Logan (blowing a kiss to us) and George

Mia and Izzy with Logan - I felt bad for the girls because their legs were totally squished! But they loved taking Logan on a ride!

Logan and Mom on Odysea - we got squirted with water at the very beginning and he did not like that, but he got over it pretty quickly.

Coolest dude at Lagoon!

7 Years and Counting

Happy 7 year anniversary to us! We saw Garth Brooks in Las Vegas a few weeks ago, then went to The Roof on Saturday night. It was delicious as always! We ate there on our wedding night and love going back there. It's been an amazing 7 years and here's to many more!!

Easter 2010

We spent Easter in Trenton this year. Oh the joy of Utah weather! When we woke up on Saturday morning, it was not snowing, but as soon as we got to the park, it started snowing. The hunt lasted all of 15 minutes, and 5 minutes after it was done, it stopped snowing. Go figure. Logan was interested for about a minute, then I went and picked up his Easter treats after his first 2 eggs. Here are some shots.

My mom, sister and I took the kids to Lee's Marketplace. They do a big thing where you take the kids around and they get candy and balloons and the Easter bunny is there. They had a great time - even if Logan isn't smiling in the picture!

On Sunday, the weather was better. We did another Easter egg hunt at my parent's house. Logan did better this time with picking up the eggs (aka farm animal eggs my dad bought). She also got all of the kids bubble blowers. Logan was fascinated by the bubbles, but didn't want to touch them.
Logan has this recorder and he loves it! He's so proud when he plays it!We dyed Easter eggs with Hunter and Kenzie. Hunter tried to eat the little dye pellets, but luckily we got them out of his mouth before the dissolved too much!It was a great weekend and it was a lot of fun! Logan is getting more and more active and can do so much! Sometimes it's trying, like him climbing on our couches (he can get himself up SO fast) and hating the feel of grass, but it's so fun to see him grow and develop!! I love our little family!

Birthday Round 2

I know it's been a while since Logan's birthday, but here are some pics from round 2 at my parent's house.

This is my absolute favorite picture - Logan's got a "What the heck is that?" face! My mom got him a rainbow cake with a pot of gold at the end - St. Patrick's Day and all.

He got this great truck from my sister.
We also celebrated my nephew Hunter's 2nd birthday and my dad's birthday too. We have a lot of March birthdays!
I don't know if you noticed the Eeyore candle that is on each cake. It's a Brough family tradition that that candle is on every cake for every birthday. We've had it for years!

Logan's 1st Birthday!

Today Logan turned 1! I can't believe it's already been a year. He is so much fun and brings such joy to our lives!! I can't imagine life without him!

My mom and I took him to the zoo. He was somewhat interested. He liked the carousel and the train, and he liked the bigger animals like the elephants and rhinoceros. Here is my first attempt at a collage. I think it turned out pretty cute!! I did this so you don't have to scroll for forever because I have a lot of pictures to post! I kind of went collage crazy!

We had Trent's family over for cake and ice cream. Here are some shots of the decorations and Logan before the cake.

Logan was not a big fan of having frosting on his hands. He tentatively touched it with a finger, then Trent shoved his hand in it. He just held up his hand like, "What am I supposed to do with this?" After we wiped off his hands and fed the cake to him with a spoon, he was totally content!

Logan got a wagon from the Wood family and he loves it!! I am pretty excited about it too! He also got some small trucks, a cute pirate book, and some new bath toys, but we didn't get pictures of all of that. Here he is enjoying the wagon with his cousins. The cousins all love Logan so much and I am grateful that they are such great kids! When Logan is having fun, he laughs with his mouth wide open - that is his look of pure joy!

It was a great day!! We are celebrating with the Brough family this weekend, so more pictures to come!!

So You Think You Can Dance

I love watching SYTYCD! It makes me wish, wish, wish I could dance! I was at work this past weekend, and there was a dance workshop and Nathan was there teaching it! I couldn't resist getting a picture with him. He was super nice and it was fun to see him in action!

Logan's First Haircut!

Logan's hair has been getting longer and has been going over his ears. It's not really getting thicker, unfortunately, so I decided he needed a haircut. When I was a young girl, my mom would cut my hair. One traumatic day, she snipped too close and got my ear. She did not believe me until the blood appeared! Because of this experience, I didn't dare try to cut Logan's. Luckily, Cookie Cutters is all of 5 minutes away from my house. Logan did so good! He looks so old and big now, but handsome as ever!!

Being so good!

Hey, I'm trying to watch Baby Einstein here!

Look at me, Mom!

The finished product.

On a side note, I went to the Layers sale today and it was crazy! I was in line for almost an hour, but it was so worth it! For $100 I got a dress, 3 tank tops, 1 layering tee, 4 tops, 2 cardigans, and a scarf! SCORE!!
